While wondering whatever happened to Hank Dudek.
-Sign that you are a bad player: You say, “I hate AK.” or “I hate suited connectors.” or “I hate Jacks.” You hate them because you don’t play them well. And, furthermore, it’s a good sign that you don’t play any hand well. While I enjoy having you at my table, it would be better for you to hate being a suckass and quit the game.
-I’m kinda working on a post about the evolution of my game, or de-evolution into being a nit. I doubt, however, that the post will ever get done, so I’ll just mention that I spend most of my time at the table folding and wondering how I’m down $xx to these morons, only to take a stack and then leave.
-I still look at one card at a time. I started doing this awhile back, and haven’t broken myself of the habit yet. Not surprisingly, the second card doesn’t pair the first as often as I expect it to.
-Some people really do want to lose their money. Sometimes it is more obvious than others, but there’s almost always someone at the table looking for a chance to give their money away.
-It was brought to my attention today that my blog has been a disappointment, so please feel free to let me know what else you’d like to read about.
Later.

I need to go to the grocery store. I eat better with groceries. Today was the first time I didn’t do well at all since Thanksgiving. I had Subway for lunch, Panda for dinner, and Jack in the Box for lastmeal. Too much money for one day and too many calories.
I don’t like saying things like “one more orbit” or “until my blind”. When I think it’s time to leave, I usually leave. I’m writing that because despite that, when this hand came up, I was definitely leaving “soon”. I went to the Venetian a little early today to see about afternoon play and get a long session in. I need hours at the table. I lost a little early (pretty much even except for my set against a flush), and when my table broke around 7:30 I decided to take a dinner break. A little Panda later, and I go back for more. I’m up and it’s about time to go, but I may be there for one more hand or another hour, depending.
Anyways, I’m in MP and it’s folded to me. I see Tc9c. I raise to 10. Folds to the sb, who calls, bb folds. We’re heads-up to the T87 rainbow flop. That’s clearly a good flop for me. He checks, I bet 20. He calls. Turn is the Kc, giving me a club draw in addition to my OESD and pair. SB bets out 30, leaving about 50 behind. So, pot is 90. You’re facing a bet of 30 (so, obviously getting about 4-1). Assuming the SB is “reasonable”, what range of hands are you putting him on? Do you call, fold, or raise and why?
