I just finished the first week of the new cash game. Antonius, Negreanu, Hansen, Ivey, Dwan, and Hellmuth. It’s been a long time since I posted anything besides basketball picks, so I thought I’d throw a comment in here. It was a good week, with some interesting decisions. No big hand versus big hand drama, but some interesting poker. On some level, I don’t want to come off as understanding the depth at which these guys think, but on the other I do think it’s interesting. The biggest thing I take away from watching shows like this is that I have to continually adjust my thinking instead of just taking a ’standard’ line in situations. Also interesting, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention it, was the 100k flips the players were taking. It was interesting to see their eagerness to gamble and their justifications and reactions to and for doing so. If you didn’t catch it, I’d recommend going back and finding it. I’ll probably post again after I finish week 2. I miss Vegas.
